In brief – This policy provides full cover with no copayments or exclusions (don’t pay extra for anything) . It also includes Dental Cover and International Travel Assistance. Please see page 9 of the brochure for a breakdown of the different policies and their respective coverages.

With this policy there are no waiting periods for emergency treatments. You will be covered from day 1. Waiting periods only apply in the first year for non-emergency treatments i.e. hip or knee replacement surgery (6 months).

As with the Integral Elite policy, you will be 100% covered when in Spain.

When you use the policy abroad for either non-emergency or emergency care then you will be reimbursed 90% of your invoices within 7 days. You can also use this policy in Spain (at any Non DKV private hospital/ clinic and get reimbursed 80% of your costs) - This is a very popular product amongst our clients who travel often.

Waiting periods

With DKV, almost all benefits can be used from day one, and there are only waiting times for some specific services.

DKV copayment insurance, also known as copay insurance, is a type of health insurance that requires policyholders to pay a portion of the cost of their healthcare services out of pocket. This is in contrast to traditional health insurance plans that may cover all or a larger portion of medical expenses.

With DKV Integral, all provisions can be used from day one; only some specific services have waiting periods.

• Hospitalisation and surgery (including surgical prostheses): 6 months

• Biomechanical gait analysis: 6 months

• Childbirth (except for premature births): 8 months

• Transplants: 12 months

Any policyholder who wishes to request the cancellation of the policy must do so in writing at least one month before the policy's maturity.

Health insurance policies expire at the end of the calendar year, i.e. 31 December; other policies expire one year from the date the contract enters into force. The following must be included in the cancellation request: • Tax ID (NIF/NIE) of the policyholder (a scan is fine if sending by email). • Policy or card number. • Signature of the policyholder. You may send your application: • By post or fax to your local branch. • By email at atencion.cliente@dkvseguros.es. In this case, please attach the scanned Tax ID number/ Foreign resident ID and the document signed by the policyholder.

In addition, if you change your mind after having signed a policy, you have the so-called "right of withdrawal". Once you sign a contract, you have fourteen calendar days to cancel it, and you must notify the company in writing or by telephone. In any case, make sure beforehand that the company in question accepts that option.

Commitment to reimburse expenses in less than 7 days

The duration of the contract is stipulated in the policy. It is annual and can be renewed by calendar years. The contract is renewed automatically every year without requiring confirmation.

A customer who takes out a DKV health insurance will permanently benefit from a lower price in one of these cases:

• Discounts according to the payment method: 2.8% (quarterly payment), 4.6% (half-yearly payment) and 7% (yearly payment)

• Discounts according to the number of insured persons: 7% (four insured persons), 12% (more than four insured persons)

• Discounts applicable based on the current promotion. In the case of DKV Integral, insured persons who take out the health insurance before 31 Dec 2023 will obtain a 36% discount . 34% discount after June 2023, a 24% discount in 2024 and a 12% discount in 2025.

These discounts can be accumulated.
